Computer Science Engineering (AIML)
About Department
At Anjuman-I-Islam’s Kalsekar Technical Campus, School of Engineering & Technology, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning) was established in 2023 in response to the growing global demand for AI and data-driven technologies. As a newly initiated and rapidly growing department, it is dedicated to equipping students with future-ready skills in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
The department offers a B.Tech. program in CSE (AIML) with an intake of 120 students, highlighting its popularity and the institution’s commitment to scaling advanced technology education. The department is implementing an autonomous syllabus designed in line with the guidelines of the National Education Policy (NEP 2020), ensuring flexibility, multidisciplinary learning, and alignment with global academic standards.
The CSE(AIML) Department effectively adopts the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) model, ensuring that students develop both a solid academic foundation and hands-on technical expertise that extend beyond traditional syllabi. Students gain exposure to real-world problem-solving through project-based learning, workshops, coding competitions, internships, and industry collaborations.
The department is equipped with modern laboratories and high-performance computing systems. Beyond academics, it also cultivates a vibrant ecosystem of innovation and leadership. Through NeurOnyx, the specialized student club, and active association with professional bodies such as ACM, students are encouraged to collaborate, innovate, and showcase their talents on national and international platforms. A strong research culture has been established, nurturing student-led projects, publications, and participation in reputed conferences and journals. The department also motivates students to design solutions for social good, aligning technology with societal needs, while offering opportunities for certifications, add-on programs, start-up incubation, and global learning exposure. With a team of young, dynamic, and qualified faculty members, the department is steadily progressing towards becoming a center of excellence in AI and Machine Learning education, research, and innovation.
