Expert Lecture for students of TEME was organized on 25 February 2025, in collaboration with ISHRAE students chapter of AIKTC. The program commenced at 10:15 AM, with a warm welcome extended to all guests and attendees by Mr. Baseem Dabholkar.
Mr. Bhavesh Mehta(Expert) provided insights into the critical aspects of MEP systems and their importance in the construction and engineering industries. The session aimed to educate participants on the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in MEP design and implementation. The session began with an overview of MEP, emphasizing its role in modern construction projects. The expert explained that MEP systems are essential for providing comfort, safety, and efficiency in buildings. The integration of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems was discussed as a holistic approach to building design and operation. He shared insights into the latest innovations in MEP, such as energy-efficient HVAC systems, smart lighting solutions, and advanced plumbing technologies that reduce water consumption. Trends such as the adoption of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in MEP design and the move toward sustainability in construction were discussed.
He also mentioned challenges faced by engineers and designers when implementing MEP systems, including coordination issues between different disciplines and ensuring energy efficiency. The expert emphasized the importance of early planning and collaboration among different teams to minimize challenges during the construction phase. Key recommendations for successful MEP projects were shared, including the importance of maintaining regular communication with all stakeholders, conducting detailed system simulations before implementation, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A segment where participants had the opportunity to ask questions related to MEP design, troubleshooting, and industry standards.
The expert session provided valuable insights into the evolving field of MEP systems, highlighting both the challenges and opportunities that professionals face in designing and implementing these critical systems. The expert session was highly informative, offering valuable perspectives on the integration of MEP systems in the design and implementation of green buildings. The contributions of Mr. Bhavesh Mehta were greatly appreciated, and the session provided attendees with a deeper understanding of how MEP systems can be optimized to support sustainability in construction.
Prof. Javed Kazi Felicitated expert, Mr. Bhavesh Mehta. In closing remarks, Prof. Kazi thanked Mr. Bhavesh Mehta for taking the time to share his expertise and valuable knowledge with the participants. He emphasized that the session provided critical insights into the vital role of MEP systems in shaping the future of green building initiatives.
