Industrial Visit to Sunny World Solar Power Plant

The final-year Electrical Engineering students visited Sunny World Solar Power Plant, a 700 kW grid-connected solar facility located at Talegaon–Kamshet. The plant is a significant example of sustainable energy utilization and advanced PV system technology. The visit was coordinated by the faculty of the Electrical Engineering Department. During the session, Er. Bhushan, the plant in-charge, explained the overall working of the solar power plant. He elaborated on the design aspects, including solar panel arrangement, inverter operation, string configuration, and grid synchronization process. Students also gained insights into maximum power point tracking (MPPT) techniques, the importance of solar irradiance monitoring, and power quality management.
